For L'Oréal's Elvive Growth Booster, we ditched traditional beauty-science tropes in favor of using natural materials to connote ingredient properties. Pearlescent textures and precious metals inspired the team to symbolize nourishment and strength, bringing it all to life through biomimetic motion for a lifelike feel.
Process
With hair loss becoming more relevant in both millennial men and women due to stress, L’Oreal created a new hair serum that will help prevent and stimulate hair growth. L’Oreal partnered up with Tendril to create a 30-second film to feature their latest product, Elvive Growth Booster, for their global conference.
Our challenge was to create a film that accurately illustrates the technology while also being visually appealing. We’ve developed a film that breaks away from the standard hair commercials and adds a beautiful spin on it through a combination of interesting camera moves and alluring textures.
